Leafy aromatics give way to hints of cranberry and pomegranate which stream onto the palate; A hint of vanilla is apparent from the oak aging and ends with a long, lingering finish of the fine, smooth tannins. This varietal will only improve with age and could stand for additional cellar aging, drink now through 2022.

The 2015 growing season had a moderately warm summer with below average rainfall. The fruit spent 3-4 weeks in contact with skins using the punchdown method to extract color and tannins and was aged for 16 months in Hungarian oak.
